This is one of the most important classes to take. If you don’t have a comfort level with your knife skills, cooking becomes a chore. Once you’ve mastered the basics you’l speed through your prep work.
Well discuss various styles of knifes and their uses, storage, cleaning and sharpening. Then the class gets hands on in cutting brunious, baton, batonette, chiffonade and other classic cuts without the fancy French names.
Bring your own knife if you want or we’ll have plenty on hand. Those who bring their own will be able to have them sharpened. Cost is $65 an class begins at 6:30pm. We will not be preparing a meal in this class, but will be able to snack on the vegetables we slice.
