Join us for a class of Southern Classics lead by Chef Rene Johnson of Blackberry Soul Food. René believes in keeping it simple and prepares food like her Grandmother did back in the day, except she puts a healthy spin on it, with a elegant flare. For example, she suggests going heavy on the vegetables. But there is no substitute for real butter in an old fashioned poundcake.
